Guest Post Process
The following outlines the process we follow for our guest posts for our blog to ensure that we get quality content added to our site for our growing audience. Here’s the procedure you’ll need to follow:
- Read the following guidelines
- Email us 2-3 blog ideas
- We will confirm your ideas to start writing
- Send your final guest blog post
- We will review and edit/modify as required
- We’ll add your blog post to our content schedule
- Your blog post will be published
Guest Post Guidelines
Please follow the below guidelines when putting together a guest blog post.
The content must be:
- Unique and original
- Be relevant to our small business audience in Australia and related to digital marketing
- Add value and be useful including actionable tips, tools, strategies, templates, case studies or examples
- Be a minimum of 700 words(ideally more than 1000 is preferred)
- Include a maximum of 1 link back to your site within the article itself to free ungated and helpful content e.g., a blog post that supports your guest post (it cannot be your website homepage, sales or landing page)
- Ideally include an internal link to another blog article on our Digital Agency Hub website
- Include an author bio with links back to your directory listing (max of 100 words for your author bio)
- Cite any statistics, data, or third-party sources as used
Media
- Please provide relevant media to compliment the article
- We need a featured image at least 1000 pixel wide
- Must provide media – ideally unique with screenshots, images or videos to go with the article, ideally at least 5 to be provided (more images will be required if the article is longer)
- You must have the relevant copyright on all images/media and permission for us to use on the website
Guest posts we LOVE to include:
- Case studies– showcasing before and after, including specific results that your clients have achieved
- Tips/Strategies– practical advice in your area of expertise to help others take action and get a small (or big) win
We DO not accept the following:
- Previously published content
- Posts covering topics that have already been covered on our blog
- Posts that do not provide any useful or meaningful insights
- Promotional posts for your business or products/services
- Offensive or inaccurate posts
Guest Blog Idea Submission
IMPORTANT – Before you start your blog article, please email us with 2-3 ideas for your blog post FIRST.
This may save you valuable time and allow you to get confirmation prior to writing.
Final Guest Blog Submission
Once you get the go ahead from us, please provide the following information in a word document and original images to be attached.
- Proposed Post Title
- Keyword
- Wordcount (>700 is required)
- Body
- Author Bio
Please include in the document, and attach originals:
- Image – Feature/Cover
- Other Images/Other Media
- Author Image (ideally a square)
Please send your completed guest blog post via email.
What Happens Once You Submit?
Once you submit your blog article via email, we will review and aim to get back to you as soon as possible over the coming weeks. We reserve the right to review and update guest posts in order to keep the site content fresh, relevant and optimised for SEO. This may involve adding, editing, or removing text, links, or images. Once we have reviewed/edited your blog article, we will contact you.
Your blog article will be added to our content planner. It will be scheduled to be released amongst other pre-organised content. We will notify you as soon as your guest blog post is live.
Although we don’t see this happening often, but as we continue to improve our users’ experience, we reserve the right to refresh; redirect, or consolidate with other articles, or remove the blog posts from publication as required.
